Confessions of a Photoholic

Okay, I will admit that I am a total nut when it comes to taking photos of the Mini Hunk. I have CD after CD with 200+ pictures on each. Logically, I know that I will never use all of them, but I still just can't bring myself to hit delete....even when it isn't that great of a photo. Does any other mom suffer from this dilemma?

Anyway, last Saturday was a beautiful day. I took the Mini Hunk out with camera in tow. After the photo session, we played a little while. Well, Wednesday morning (4 days later), I was up early. I decided to put some pics on my blog. I couldn't find the camera. Then, it hit me.....GASP!....I left it sitting on the back of the lawnmower. What a goof!

So, in 17 degree weather, I tromp out to the backyard at 6:45 am, and there it is. Just where I left it. And here are the pics....just as I took them. No worries the camera survived, but shhhhh! let's not tell my husband about this little fiasco. He might not find it as humorous as I do. :)

Here I Am!

Despite my long break in blogging, I have not fell off the face of the earth. Since my last post, I have been quite the traveler, but I am home at last. Hooray!!! While the Mini-Hunk is still facing some ear troubles, he does seem to be feeling better. (That translates: He is sleeping again-thank goodness!)

I am looking forward to visiting all my blogging friends, and I can't wait to see what is going on in your lives...

This last bit is a video stream I found via you tube. Last week, I was given an awesome cruise by my brother's girlfriend. She is an amazing musician, and here is a song that they wrote and performed on the boat. So sweet...(Background: she wrote this in honor of her grandfather that recently passed and joined her grandmother in heaven. Keep in mind that it's from someone's cell phone, so the quality is not great.)

Goodbye Fall!

Okay, so I worked through the entire fall, but I just couldn't move on to Christmas

until I posted these pics.... Isn't the Mini Hunk HUGE????!!!!!

So sorry about being the worst blogging buddy in the world; I really do miss everyone. Due to the economy, I am out working a good bit these days. I am okay...I think

So, I know I have been a little out of it lately, but it is with good reason. In the last month, I have: hosted around 10 book events, survived my son's 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th tooth arrivals, visited my in-laws for a week, been to the doctor (again), and survived over 16 hours in the car with a 16 month old boy.

Right now, I am off to unpack luggage, feed my husband's grandma (who is staying with us for the week), smear on some make-up, and head to a book fair.

Can I be committed for an addiction or something? I think chocolate counts, right?

Oh, and the doctor said that the Mini Hunk may have something viral, but most likely is just very spoiled....my son???? No way! HAHAHA

5 Little Blessings

I have been so busy that I feel like I am running on a motor. So, I took today for myself to slow down. After some thought, I decided to blog about 5 blessings from this week....

1. Holding my baby as long as I wanted to first thing this morning.

2. Having a husband that works hard for his family.

3. Enjoying a hot cup of tea with honey.

4. Getting to shout, scrub and wash itty bitty baby socks.

5. Having a vast overstock of Halloween candy.

It's the small stuff that really matters, right?
